Snow's Good for Something!

All this snow has a positive effect on SOMETHING, according to the news reports I've read recently. The water levels in the Great Lakes have been very low over the past few years, with last summer being very obvious to visitors to the lakes.

Apparently the record snowfalls this winter have imported moisture from Canada and the Gulf of Mexico and this could help to replenish water levels in the Great Lakes.

(If you're not a Michigander, you may not realize that Michigan is The Great Lake State and 4 of the 5 Great Lakes touch Michigan.)

Can you name the Great Lakes? The acronym "HOMES" can help you remember - Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, Superior.

Farmers love it too as the fields then have moisture. Mom
