Story Submitted, and the Rest of My Life

It's been a full week - writing, editing, getting caught up from being gone all weekend. No reading really, no movies til tonight. Watching Iron Man right now - what cool devices! We watched Speed Racer earlier this evening as a family. Oh wait! I did watch Miracle Match earlier in the week - a soccer movie.

Co-op was today - going well. Will post on that at Cornerstone - I do post at least two times there every week, so if you aren't checking it, you may want to do so.

Weather was gorgeous yesterday and today!

House is all primered white now - going to start on yellow tomorrow. I will probably help some now that the story is written.

Let's see - hay ride tomorrow evening at Bob's family's farm. Soccer games in the AM; they are at different times so I can coach Suzy's and then watch James play.

I finished the story and submitted it for publication today. Please pray they buy it!

I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of anything else just yet. Oh, except I am getting pretty good at WordTwist on facebook, so come there and play with me!

PLAY vs. Work

I haven't accomplished a lot this week. We've PLAYED a lot, but not a lot of work got done. Let's see.

Visited family Sunday & Monday - PLAY
Drove home 2-1/2 hours - Work.
Took kids to dentist - Work.
Took David to pick up new glasses - Work.
Supported homeschool group at DQ fundraiser - PLAY.
Played homeschool kickball game - PLAY.
Went to local fair - PLAY.
Read Eclipse and Breaking Dawn - PLAY.
Went grocery shopping - Work.
Set up new cell phone - PLAY.
Looked for campers on craigslist - PLAY.
Looked at one camper, made offer on it, and agreed to purchase - PLAY (sort of!)
Tried to write query letter and was stumped - Work.
Took the kids to the beach - PLAY
Went to co-op registration - registered kids, attended teacher meeting, and connected with friends - some PLAY.
Worked on my LOTR Gift app on facebook - PLAY.

A lot more play than work on that accomplishment list!

The only things I had left over from last week's to-do list were ironing and writing the query letter. Neither is done. :::exhales in frustration:::: I better get that ironing done tonight. I have a couple movies I could watch.

No Suzy

Suzy is not here and it is kinda freaking me out. She is spending the night at a birthday sleepover. Her FIRST one. I don't think she's ever spent the night anywhere without me or Bob EXCEPT with family members. She didn't seem nervous and I haven't gotten a phone call, so I am guessing all is well.

It was REALLY hot today. I made a Ten List over at Power of Ten, where I haven't blogged for ages and ages. It was fun! I will do it again. Hey, if you'd like to make a Ten List (of anything really, as long as it's family friendly), let me know and I'll add you as a blog author.

I really should go to bed. I am exhausted.

But first two responses to comments.

Jen commented that David looks tall. Yes, he IS tall. I think he may be 5'5" now. Not as tall as me yet, but getting there!

There are also all kinds of fun games, widget thingies (like on your blog, Michele!), ways to connect with other members, applications to add. It's really mesmerizing. LOL If anyone decides to try it out, please let me know. I'll friend you there.
