Health Update

Decided against taking David to the doctor today. Going to concentrate on fluids and rest. I think he has viral bronchitis and I'm pretty sure that's what the doctor would say. They might prescribe an antibiotic, because they tend to do it no matter what, but if its viral, it won't help anyway.

Bob is resting, pretty comfortably, until he has to move one way or another. He decided to just rest and see how much he improves. It's possible he cracked a rib, but I would imagine they'd just tape it.

Somehow I got my back out of alignment. I can feel one of my vertebrae in a weird place. Going to research if I can put it back somehow on my own. Not thinking I want to pay a chiropractor at this point.

thursday thirteen

Thirteen Things about Lisa

1.... I just organized my computer table's cupboard - put the earbuds in baggies, wrapped the USB cords with rubber bands, put all the manuals in a large bag, added two baskets to hold the stuff - VOILA - an organized cabinet. No more tangles!

2.... My sheets are hanging on the line to take advantage of the (relatively) warm weather, sunshine, and breeze. (Plus, my dryer is not working right.) Those will feel good tonight!

3.... I am taking my soccer team out for hot chocolate after practice tonight. Thought that would be more seasonal than ice cream! lol

4.... In a few minutes I am going to go get the winter coats out of storage.

5.... I need to buy two birthday presents tonight. When am I going to fit THAT in?

6.... My NaNoWriMo merit badges came in the mail on Monday. Those were pricy, but, oooh, how I wanted them! Can't wait to earn each and every one and sew it on... what? a totebag? a jacket? my purse?

7.... I will be reading aloud two Irish versions of the Cinderella tale tomorrow to my Glass Slipper class.

8.... David has voluntarily read 225 pages of a novel. WOO HOO! Granted, it is a Halo3 novel, but I am excited nonetheless. I think this is only the second novel he's ever CHOSEN to read. The other was
Revenge of the Sith.

9.... I should be outside walking around enjoying crunchy yellow leaves, blue skies, and sunshine. I am not too outdoorsy, so instead I am sitting here.

10.... I framed and Bob hung up our family portrait this week. It was taken in August at our family reunion. I also framed the cousins pic and the extended family pic and set those on the piano.

11.... My living room is piled high with winter coats, snowpants, mittens and hats, and other sundry items taken out of the upstairs storage closet. I am sorting coats right now (well, I am watching Emily try on the coats that could possibly fit her) and then I am heading to soccer practice.

12.... There is a roast in the slow cooker that Bob prepared earlier today. Yummy!

13.... Tonight I need to type Emily's story for her co-op writing class. She wants me to type it but not read it. lol

What's Going On Lately

Wow, no blogging here since Tuesday! lol I did blog a little at Cornerstone, I think.

So, what's Lisa been doing? Not much writing, I will say that. I will get to it, but I need some uninterrupted time and that has been in short supply with Bob working steadily on the house painting. He is slow and takes a lot of breaks. The kids are not much help, sad to say. lol

Thursday I was busy with co-op lesson plans and Friday I was at co-op all day. Suzy was not feeling good Thursday night and so she stayed home from soccer practice Thursday and co-op today. She seems better today.

Wednesday night we were at church for our Dave Ramsey class and the kids program.

Co-op went well today - sounds like all the kids like their classes. The two classes I am teaching are enjoyable. I get to talk to my friends too, which is cool. Maryann is back at co-op this year; she was at a different one last year.

We went to visit friends tonight. They specifically invited Bob to come along, so he did! He even played a game of Scene-It - at least he rolled the dice. lol It was TV-Scene-it so I wasn't very good at it, since I didn't have a TV for the majority of my childhood. (No Welcome Back, Kotter, No Dukes of Hazzard, No commercials. lol And I don't watch TV now, either! LOL) I think Bob had fun. The kids sure did! And I always love spending time with this friend!

Soccer tomorrow at 9 am and the day doesn't stop much after that! We have to pick up Angel Food, get some groceries, go to the bank and the library, clean up around here, make something to take to a meeting, work more on painting, and then I have my book club at 5pm. A friend and I are going together and her son is going to play here during the meeting. ALSO it is Fall Festival here in our little village, so there will be PEOPLE everywhere and loud music. I am glad to be escaping! lol

My birthday is Sunday and I have asked for an ice cream cake and going out to eat. I don't expect much else, so I guess we'll see what's in store!
