Sweet Suzy, Dreamcoat Sighting, The glad game

Suzy's party will be here in the side yard. Bob is going to set up the canopy thing and we'll have an outdoor fancy tea party. The weather needs to co-operate!

By the way, the reason she has been sweeter lately is not for purely intrinsic reasons. She wanted her party and I wouldn't schedule it until I saw an improvement in her behavior. So there you go, Michele. Bribery works sometimes!

I entered soccer registrations this afternoon then picked the kids up from their last art class. David won't be doing it next year. The other two still will be. Bob had Suzy out at the farm checking the garden. I took the other three to the library after art and got some books. While we were there, I spied one of the actresses from Dreamcoat. No, I didn't accost her in the library and get her autograph. She's a high school student!

We watched a newer version of Pollyanna tonight. Surprisingly good! My kids all watched it and seemed to really like it! Masterpiece Theater broadcast it, I think in 2003. The kids also watched some episodes of Busytown (Busy World of Richard Scarry) that I had on VHS taped off Nick Jr. "Buh-buh-BUH! Face here!" :-)

Can't think of anything else, except David is almost intolerably bouncy because he is so happy to be going away to Cedar Point with his friend's family. They leave first thing Friday morning and come back Sunday.

Give me my colored coat, my amazing colored coat!

No, I didn't take photos of the Dreamcoat production. I "borrowed" these photos from a friend whose child was in it. I put them here in case you'd like to see. The sets and costumes were REALLY elaborate. Many of the female dancers were really good! Most of the singing was lovely and one or two singers were really great! The story is just so humorous and energetic.

The three younger kids went again with me tonight at their request and we also took the little neighbor girl, who is in kindergarten. She loved it too.

Weekends Go By Fast

The weekends go way too fast! I cannot believe it's Sunday night already!

Saturday evening, Debbie and Vicki and I went out to dinner at Ruby Tuesday's. It was delicious; I had yummy Smoky Mountain chicken (Grilled chicken breast with barbecue sauce, bacon, cheddar cheese and diced tomatoes) and some delectable white cheddar mashed potatoes!

Then we headed to the theater for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which was presented beautifully by a community theatre group. Both the narrator and Joseph had excellent voices. There was a children's choir in this production, which I love. The youngest performer was age 3! There were also live llamas in the show! Something else that stood out was the Pharaoh's performance; he added some side conversations that were just hilarious!

Debbie had never seen the play before and had no idea what to expect. I think she enjoyed it! Vicki and I had gone in April to see Dreamcoat when I won tickets, so this was her second time. This was my 6th time seeing it! (high school production, church youth group, Donny Osmond's production - although I saw the understudy perform it, civic theatre, traveling professional troupe, and this one by community theatre) Plus I have memorized the soundtrack and I own the video on both VHS and DVD. Every one of the productions was worth seeing!!!

The nearby Farmer Jack grocery store has been sold and will be turning into a Kroger! I like Kroger, so this is a good thing in my opinion. It's only about 12 minutes away, while Walmart is about 22 minutes and Meijer is about 25 minutes away. It takes a lot longer for me to shop at Walmart or Meijer, too!! lol There is a small grocery store closer even than the Kroger, maybe 7 minutes away, and I do plan to shop there a little more often, especially since it is on my way to work. However, it is closed when I come home. It closes at 8pm, believe it or not! lol But it recently got new owners and it looks great!

Still haven't found out the new court date for the worker's comp hearing. Sent an email out to the lawyer so hopefully we can find that out soon. It was estimated to be July, so I guess we'll see how accurate that was.

I am going to watch a movie! I can only watch DVD's now on Sat/Sun nights since every other night, I get home after midnight!
