The work-at-home thing needs some tweaking. I cannot accomplish much of anything sitting at my computer in the living room, while life flows on around me. IT'S NOT WORKING.
Must think on this situation.

The happiness of a man in this life does not consist in the absence but in the mastery of his passions.

How true is that! :)
LOL, I can totally relate:) I do what I can with the chaos around me until the husband gets home. And then he gets the kids while I isolate myself in a locked bedroom with the computer. It's a bit of a hassle dragging it upstairs and hooking it up, but its worth it.
Oh, yes, usually it's not flowing around the mom trying to work... but more like a magnet for chaos. I would need a whole separate, closed off room, that's for sure.
how about putting on sound blocking headphones and putting up a barrier of some sort- like one of those foldy room seperater things-- janet
Maybe some folding doors that could block off your living room while you work. Then put on music into your earphones, blocking out the sounds of the family being supervised by Bob in the other rooms. Then threaten, under GREAT penalty, the fact that YOU ARE WORKING AND CAN'T BE DISTURBED! Love, Mom
