Bummer. When I got to work this afternoon, I found out that I must work Saturday night. This messes up our plans for Emily's birthday party, which was scheduled for 2-4pm Saturday afternoon. I moved it back an hour, so it will be done when I have to leave for work, but I will have to rush off. I am SO NOT THRILLED. Hmpf.
However, it does mean that I will get a full paycheck this week instead of a day short. However, I WON'T be getting time-and-a-half to work Sat like most everyone else. Hmpf! Ah well.
Apparently we should get prepared for a lot of Saturdays. That's the rumor anyway.
I SOOOO did not want to go to work today. It's not that I dislike my job so much. It's that I dislike giving up my family time in order to work. There are parts of my job I don't like, but I could get used to it (I guess I have, really) but what I miss is the downtime with my family. It seems that EVERY minute is go-go-go because "Mom has to leave for work". HMPF.
Don't have much else to say. Oh yeah, except we cleaned the kids' rooms. They looked quite good when I left for work, although not QUITE done. And it probably won't get any better over the weekend now. HMPF! (Denise, learned that from you! lol)
Maybe I can get some photos of them. I don't think I ever did post photos of the paintings Emily and her friends did in her room for her birthday. Was that just last year? Or two years ago now?
Loved August Rush, by the way. Highly recommended.

So often movies that don't get such a good review in the paper are actually fun movies anyway. I thought August Rush looked like a good movie, but the reviews (in GR PRess anyway) were poor. Emily: have fun at your party!!! Love, Grandma
You did post those pics of Emily's walls last year! Just an FYI!
